‘Business & Responsibility’ at the Hamburg Foundation Days

Under the title ‘Business and Responsibility’, the Hamburger Stiftung für Wirtschaftsethik presented its strategy and provided an insight into its current projects during the Hamburg Foundation Days. On 11 October 2017, just under 30 guests accepted the invitation to visit the Foundation’s premises in Altona.

The Executive Board, comprising Dr Jesco Kreft and Dr Miriam Putz, outlined the foundation’s areas of work and concepts, using specific examples to illustrate its focus. Key areas included research into working conditions in the toy manufacturing sector, the Roundtable on Human Rights in Tourism, and the Sustainable Cocoa Forum. Many of the topics covered in the presentation were subsequently taken up and discussed further over light refreshments in a relaxed atmosphere.

“We are delighted by the great interest in our work and the many interesting guests we were able to welcome this evening,” said Dr Jesco Kreft. The Hamburg Foundation Days will be held for the fifth time in 2017 – featuring 140 events over five days.
