29th Berlin Forum

The 29th Berlin Forum will take place on Friday 16 November and Saturday 17 November 2012 at the Hamburger Stiftung für Wirtschaftsethik. The Berlin Forum is a network dedicated to business and corporate ethics, which has now been in existence for more than ten years. Twice a year, the Forum brings together PhD students and postdocs from various disciplines in an open working atmosphere to discuss their current research. The upcoming Berlin Forum will be hosted in Hamburg this autumn:

Venue: Hamburger Stiftung für Wirtschaftsethik

Date:  Friday, 16 November, 1.30 pm – 8.00 pm
Saturday, 17 November 2012, 10.00 am – 3.00 pm

The aim of the Berlin Forum is to facilitate discussion amongst PhD students and postdoctoral researchers on approaches to argumentation and contributions to normative questions of economic activity from various research perspectives. Philosophers, economists, and experts in business and corporate ethics will all take part in the dialogue to discuss topics covered under the headings of CSR and sustainability, as well as those within the field of business and corporate ethics.

Those interested in giving a presentation or participating as a panellist without a presentation should please contact Miriam Schaper at miriam.schaper@wertevolle-zukunft.de by Friday, 28 September 2012, with a short abstract of approximately 300 words.

For each presentation, the speaker will be allocated a total of one hour for the presentation (20 minutes) and discussion (40 minutes).

The number of participants at the two-day meetings is deliberately kept to a minimum to facilitate in-depth discussion. All participants will be sent the relevant abstracts in advance to help them prepare for the discussions.
