Article on value-based recruitment in *Human Resources Manager*

Companies’ interest in value-based recruitment is growing – but why is that, exactly? In a guest article in *Human Resources Manager*, project manager Sören Bachmann points out that, in addition to the prospect of a competitive advantage, a ‘supplier effect’ triggered by recruitment consultancies can also be seen as a driving factor.

The essay goes on to state that it is as yet difficult to predict the future relevance of ethical criteria in human resource management. On the one hand, companies often lack the necessary overarching strategic framework; on the other, there is a shortage of suitable tools. Both the Hamburger Stiftung für Wirtschaftsethik and the Dr. Jürgen Meyer Stiftung had already highlighted these two aspects in their joint project on the Ethical Leadership Assessment. The findings of the study were published in December 2014.

‘Human Resources Manager’ is the official magazine of the Federal Association of HR Managers. The guest article appeared in the February/March 2015 issue in the ‘Analysis’ section.
