Key social risks include shortcomings in occupational health and safety.
These manifest themselves, amongst other things, in a lack of health and safety measures, inadequate protective clothing and deficient break arrangements. Smallholder farming structures, in particular, offer no protection against health and accident risks. Consequently, illness or injury can have serious financial consequences.
