ethos – Business and corporate ethics in economic and political education

Welcome to ethos – Business and Corporate Ethics in Economic and Political Education. A project on subject-specific teaching methods aimed at developing exemplary curriculum modules.

Is insurance fraud really a national pastime with no negative consequences? What ethical standards and values should advertising adhere to, and how much freedom can it claim for itself? Who ensures fair competition in a market economy? Is ethical investment good for the conscience but bad for returns? Is plagiarism a modern form of piracy or the driving force behind economic development? Are whistleblowers despicable traitors or moral heroes? We aim to engage pupils with these and many other questions – using concrete and topical examples.

The ethos project was awarded the prestigious Max Weber Prize for Business Ethics in 2012 in the school/textbook category.
